What ever happened to the approved project for licensing, permitting and inspections solution? I've heard terrible stories of Vivid GovTech from other cities - is this project at risk?
I'm hopeful our first responders will get the aid and support they need. I can only imagine how hard it is to have to work to protect and serve us on a daily basis.
I agree with you on the matter about qualifications of being on a TIF board. In my experience, just because someone has technical skills doesn't mean they have other skills needed for some tasks.
Also, I do enjoy the songs you introduce me to and they have found their way into my playlists.

As a citizen of Garland, I do NOT want to see restrictions on a TIF Board member more stringent than those for a Council Member.
Selecting commission/board members should be based on one's interest in serving - not necessarily expertise.
Furthermore, I agree that having a Council Member on the TIF board would hinder discussions and proposals.
As you said, the City Council has the final vote to approve or disapprove recommendations from the board.
